COMPANY REQUIREMENTS

Senior Company
Eligibility: Advanced and Intermediate Ballet; by audition.
Intermediate students accepted into this Company may be designated Senior Apprentices.
Company members must re-audition every year.
Company members are required to attend four scheduled ballet classes per week, Pilates mat class, the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals. 
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Junior Company
Eligibility: Intermediate and Level VI Ballet students only; by audition.
Students accepted into this company may be designated Junior Apprentices or Interns.
Company members must re-audition every year. Membership in Senior Company is not automatic.
Company members are required to attend a minimum of four ballet classes per week, Pilates mat class, the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals. 
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Youth Company
Eligibility: Ballet Levels IV, V and VI only; by audition.
Students accepted into this company may be designated Youth Apprentices or Interns.
Company members must re-audition every year. Membership in Junior Company is not automatic.
Company members are required to attend a minimum of four ballet classes per week, Pilates mat class,  the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Pre Company
Eligibility: Ballet Levels II, III and IV; by audition.
Company members must re-audition every year.  Membership in Youth Company is not automatic.
Company members are required to attend at least the minimum number of ballet classes required for their level, the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Novice Ballet
Eligibility: Ballet Levels I, II and Basic II; by audition
Company members must re-audition every year.  Membership in Pre Company is not automatic.
Company members are required to attend at least the minimum number of ballet classes required for their level, the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Senior Tap Company
Eligibility: Advanced Tap Level; by audition.
Students accepted into this company may be designated Apprentices or Interns.
Company members must re-audition every year.
Company members must attend two advanced tap classes and at least one ballet or jazz class each week, in addition to the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Junior Tap Company
Eligibility: Intermediate, Advanced Tap Levels; by audition.
Company members must re-audition every year. Membership in Senior Tap Company is not automatic.
Company members must attend at least one tap class and one ballet or jazz class per week, in addition to the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Youth Tap Company
Eligibility: Beginning II and Intermediate Tap Levels; by audition.
Company members must re-audition every year. Membership in Junior Tap Company is not automatic.
Company members must attend at least one tap class and one ballet or jazz class per week, in addition to the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Tap Pre-Company
Eligibility:  BeginningTap Levels; by audition.
Company members must re-audition every year.  Membership in Youth Tap Company is not automatic.
Company members must attend at least one tap class and one ballet or jazz class per week, in addition to the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings, technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Jazz Company
Eligibility: Ballet Levels Basic II and up; 2011-2012 by invitation only - by audition every year thereafter.
Company members must re-audition every year. 
Company members must attend at least one jazz class and one ballet class per week, in addition to the regularly scheduled Company Time (which may include rehearsals, fittings technique classes or workshops) and, occasionally, extra added rehearsals.
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Musical Theatre Ensemble
Eligibility: Students ages seven through eighteen; by audition - twice a year.
Company members must take a combination of tap, jazz, voice, acting, and ballet classes. Taking into consideration the strengths and areas of interest of each student, individual schedules are developed for each student by the Artistic Director. Musical Theatre Ensemble Class is company time used mostly for rehearsals, and there are more than occasional extra added rehearsals.
Fully mounted productions are presented twice yearly. 
Company members are required to take class in the summer.

Theatre Company
Eligibility: Students ages seven through eighteen; by audition for a specific play – typically twice a year.
Company members must take acting class in addition to attending the weekly rehearsal class which may be scheduled differently for each separate production.

Summer Classes
Vonder Haar Center for the Performing Art offers on-going classes, Dance Camps for children 3-6- years of age, and Ballet, Tap and Musical Theatre Intensives over the summer. While we do understand the need for vacation time, it is important that dancers continue to dance over the summer. Company members are required to do so.
