RESIDENT COMPANIES Supported in part by Vonder Haar Performing Arts Vonder Haar is home to eight resident companies which allows for students in different disciplines to develop their talents and to hone their performing skills. The Senior, Junior and Youth Ballet Companies, along with Pre Company and Novice Ballet, allow the advanced ballet dancers, the intermediate students, and younger aspiring ballerinas the opportunity to develop and perform throughout the year. They participate in two major ballets and our February Arts Festival each year, as well as performing at various other venues. The Musical Theatre Ensemble presents at least two mounted shows per year in addition to other outside performances. These triple threats performed in Hong Kong in July, 2007. The Senior, Junior, and Youth Tap Company perform at the February Arts Festival, and at various venues throughout the year. These companies provide tremendous opportunities for growth to budding hoofers. The Theatre Company, which operates as a production class, typically mounts two productions a year at the Studio Theatre at Vonder Haar Center. It has thus far presented THE JUNGLE BOOK, SIDEWALKS AND SNEETCHES, and VELVETEEN RABBIT.
Joining the VHC organization this season is the Cello Ensemble Workshop. This group, designed to give beginning and intermediate cellists experience in ensemble playing, will perform at various times throughout the year, including the February Arts Festival.
